I went to CW & bought a $2 replacement metal handle & found out that the dump mechanism is all one piece. I'm unable to screw on the new part.
I'm thinking of cutting off the remaining plastic & glueing the new handle on.
Anyone else have a similar issue?

! sawed off the remaining plastic & went to the plumbing dept at Home Depot. Found a chrome "Universal" vise grip cross arm diverter handle (fits any faucet), placed it over the nub & tightened it down. Saved whatever Thor would have charged for a total new mechanism & the labor to install.
