Computer wouldn't read the code? or couldn't look it up?
The OBD2 codes are standard if it is the normal powertrain. Codes from other systems (ABS) are proprietary to Ford - but I would be surprised if they differed from other Ford vehicles.
I've successfully connected to my F53 chassis with both a standalone tool - and a dongle/phone app - but fortunately haven't had a real code to read yet (knocking wood...)
