But if you boondock often - or otherwise need to run for extended periods without shore/genny power - increased battery capacity can help.
(You aren't adding voltage - additional batteries are wired in parallel - so they add capacity.)

More common to add batteries if you have an inverter to convert 12vDC to 110 AC - and with high loads like residential refrigerator that can't cool on propane... or just live 'off the grid' more often.
