We are just entering our second year with a MH and closing in on our third year as Florida residents, so I am still in the learning curve and would be interested in some of the answers and ideas other southern RVers may respond with.

Currently our Challenger sits in a gravel storage lot from about August to May. During that time we will take it out two or three times for shorter trips around Florida but nothing longer than a week or two. I keep it on the level up jacks 90% of the time. Of course the storage lot is perfectly level, if it wasn't I probably would not keep my jacks down.
