I use tow/haul switch when I
1) am climbing or descending hills. The extra braking function is tremendous.
2) in traffic. For the same reason above.
3) high winds. Where I need to hold certain speeds or RPM'S.
4) In slow area's, like campsites.
5) whenever I am towing, unless I am in a long straight away, then I switch it off.
