My Hurricane doghouse

I'm not sure where the best place to post this is, but:
I have a 2016 Hurricane 31ds. As hurricane owners know, the doghouse cover is simply a finished hard fiberglass. Since we have dogs we wanted to cover it and insulate it against engine heat for their comfort. Much to my surprise when I removed the cover I found that the little bit of insulation that the factor had installed had mostly fallen out and was laying against the engine! Many pieces were burnt! I don't know the ramifications of the insulation laying on the engine, but it could not be good!

I proceeded to re insulate the underside with two layers of dynamat and then covered the top with insulation and an upholstery like material. I thought you all would like to know in case your dog house is getting hot too!
