I was also very close to purchasing the Vegas/Axis model, with the thought, its all we need and will be easier to handle. Well after many trips to the dealers my wife and I felt that we would be cramped and i liked the extra space and get a way room in the Ace 31'. After four months and three trips, We love the added space inside and the extra storage outside. You will not notice the extra 5' and keep in mind, you can't stretch the Vegas after the fact.
