Challenger 37TB bunk slide rain leak

My wife and I recently went on a weekend camping trip and it rained two days. I noticed water in front of the fridge where there is a drawer. Turns out the left corner (from inside) of the bunk slide leaked rain in and it worked its way down the side and the front of the fridge cabinetry. Unfortunately the slide topper was not helping to prevent the water from running down the side of the coach and water probably entered through a break in the slide seal/rubber flap. Opening the awning probably helped but if it were windy, which it was not, using the awning would not be an option plus that is only a "bandaid" fix. Has anyone experienced this issue with their 37TB and figured out an easy way to rectify? Thanks in advance.
