I thought the apology letter was well written. Many times they say "I'm sorry" and leave it go at that. His letter was asking for forgiveness and that says something to me that a simple I'm sorry doesn't. I agree with Chance that it was taken out of context.
On a similar note, Dirty Jobs star, Mike Lowe, had someone write a comment telling him that since he tries to stay apolitical he must be a racist. Mike Rowe's comment was "I cannot think of a single celebrity whose opinion matters to me so there is no reason to think that my opinion matters to anyone else." I wish a few more celebrities felt this way.
