As a CCW holder, my only comment on an open forum is the firearm owner must be aware of the laws of states in which they travel and the federal law as it relates to transporting firearms through states in which a person's permit is not recognized.
Just my 2 cents on the topic.

I have enjoyed all the comments on this thread. Knowledge of the law is crucial. Being prepared on the road to conform to different jurisdictions is important. Yea! That's what Dave just said. However; i'm (might) still carrying thru Cook county!
