Interesting you had the same idea I did, about using the RV when the lights go out like with Hurricane Irma. Well, because the HOA doesn't allow RV's to park in the neighborhood, the RV is normally kept in a local "Personal Storage" location. I overlooked an important detail...
The day after Irma went through, I went to the storage lot to check on the RV. I hadn't needed my RV for "plan B", since my home generator got us through the power outage OK. Well, it turns out the storage place locked everything down tight, put a note on the office door, and fled north! I couldn't have gotten to my RV if I had needed it.
I need to rethink that plan ahead of the next hurricane!
