I did have a copy of that Owners Manual and found that it is not helpful for pretty much everything. Its a very generalized manual. I suppose they want you to take it to the dealership for all your maintenance and repair needs as there is little to no information on those matters in it.

You did check the check valve? Normally accessible under the bathroom sink, if they plumbed it that way back then. I believe the audience for the owner's manuals are for first time RV owners. There are very generic.
