We did a 5000 mile trip to the midwest this summer and had no toad. We did fine. 23' Gemini brakes down and hooks up in minutes. Parks nearly anywhere. Twenty two non travelling days, shopping, visiting friends and relatives and site seeing. If needed I could have rented a car for a day or two much cheaper than towing.
