Been all 3 routes, 10, 20, 40 & once into west Texas there's not much to see. The stretch from San Antonio to El Paso on I10 is a loooooong look at nothing, the interstate through El Paso is HORR8BLE & has been under construction forever.
The I 10 across Louisiana is also HORRIBLE with miles & miles of whoopty doos from all the concrete joints so have some aspirin handy cause it'll give you a headache.
As they said they are all passable, but some are not so enjoyable.
