We actually just retired on July 1 and have been full timing since. It was one of those things where we already had an RV (a much older "starter" model) but had been looking around and found the right one. It gave us over a year to get ready with the Hurricane since we could always leave it in the shop if need be (but we only returned it once early on for minor stuff.) We love our Hurricane for the floor plan and the value.

I think the right time is when you find the one you like and everything just works out.
