chevy chassis

i have a chevy chassis 6.0 gas, used in other than rv application, they are very reliable, other than a battery i can not remember a no start condition, but it does like to blow fuses at the worst time, so learn where the fuse boxes are and carry plenty of spares and a small needle nose pliers to get them out, the fuse info given by chevy is not very good, so sometimes you have to pull them all to find the bad one.

also change oil to 10-40 min, 20-50 if going out west in hot weather, otherwise you can have oil foaming under heavy load.

i would put a battery disconnect on it, the chevy chassis does have a slight power drain somewhere, it gets worse as time goes on.

mine 10 years old 203,000 miles
