The two do pretty much the same thing. The RM has the centering spring on the outside which makes it more vulnerable to damage, internal valuing is different. The STP has an internal centering spring which is protected, again valving is different, outside diameter is smaller.

I don’t recall ever seeing a direct comparison between the two stabilizers. The STP was created by a trucker who was tired of seeing his friends hurt in accidents caused by front tire blowouts. If you go to STP outside of Atlanta they’ll install and adjust for free.
