Interesting comment on running the Genny in the rain. I had not heard that but it makes sense. I installed an inverter because we dry camp, mostly in National Parks, about 60% of the time and you can only run the generator for a limited time. I don't run the Genny while driving unless it is really hot and the A/C can't keep up. The gas mileage is bad enough without running two motors.
