I heard the same noise coming from the windshield to dash gap after insulating the doghouse. I used some a/c foam strips(w/o sticky) forced it into the gap with a plastic putty knife. Helped a lot. May check out under the dash desk or whatever it is called when I get a few minutes. Could be some noise coming from there also. Every little bit helps.
