Fluidone - congrats!!! I wouldn't worry much about the generator hours just make sure you do the routine maintenance. We use ours a LOT. Between dry camping 3 months per year and having 3 grandkids that travel almost all summer with us - lots of hours. Change the oil (air and oil filter at same time), use SeaFoam to keep carb clean, change the plugs and then the brushes - good to go. We carry a couple quarts of oil and new filters. I take a gallon water jug to catch drained oil, a few paper towels with plastic shopping bag to grab filter and I have a FloTool Measu-Funnel that I use to put the oil back in. Whole thing takes about 20-30 minutes and cost about $20. Drop off used oil at NAPA stores. Easy Peasy. Plugs are a little bit trickier but still only takes about 45 minutes and cost about $10. Brushes are a little trickier still but very doable, takes about 45 minutes and cost about $65.
Now get on out there and enjoy.
