2014 palazzo generator not charging

Hello I have a 2014 palazzo 36.1 and where on my 2nd trip when while driving I turned on the inverter to have the 110v inside the rv, when we stopped I turned on the generator to use the ac units for the night and generator was reving up the rpms and like a disconnect switch turning on and off near the bad in the rear bedroom and the ac units did not want to start I checked the fuses and brakers and all were ok, after a while ac units did turn on and everything got back to normal, when we came home I noticed that the generator is running but it does not produce any power and I could not turn on the Charger on the overhead control panel only Inverter turns on while the generator or engine is ruining and a low battery massage popped on, house batteries are only charged while engine is on or when connected to shore power any idea what might have happened?

Did you flip the breakers on the generator my friend ?

No, I will check that today, they are right on top of the generator?

Yes that was it, circuit breaker was in the off position and it's right by the start switch too, thanks.
