2015 Axis 24.1 head unit

Double DIN is a standard size for the opening the radio fits in to. So the description in the link provided says it's a Double Din so it'll "fit".

Whether it'll be plug & play is doubtful. There isn't a standard for radio wire harness connectors or for camera inputs. When I swapped out a Jensen for a Kenwood in our ACE I had to figure out the wiring (basically decipher the schematics) and also buy an adapter for the camera inputs. Not hard but fiddly.

The rear & front cameras are extra kits. I don't care about the front camera so I probably won't get it.

I read various posts where folks have hooked up all sorts of cameras and monitors

I had a 2022 Tucson Limited. It had an in-dash display that showed blind spots when you hit the turn signal. It was awesome. The the wife totaled it :(

I wonder, will this fit in my 2015 Axis 24.1 to get rid of the awful axerra?

I has a connector for the rear camera and one for a front camera. Could it be rigged to use the cameras in the mirrors?

The rear view and side mirror cameras all go through a camera multiplexor box. The outputs of the box are the VIDEO with an RCA connector and a trigger wire that goes to the radio's trigger input.

Yes.
the unit has a front camera RCA, a back camera RCA and another RCA that is labeled video. So if I connect the mux RCA output to the video in it may work. Otherwise I'd have to change out the factory camera wiring with the video cable from the Enon. The cameras and cables are accessories

Unless you put the video cable to the back camera input AND wire in the trigger the video will have to be manually selected on the radio.

Camera hook up

When I swapped the Axxera on my 2017 Hurricane any double din head unit would work in the space. Your cameras run thru a multiplex switch located behind the dash. In my unit it was just laying in a wire bundle not attached to anything. There is a single rca cable that runs between the multiplex switch and the head unit so you only need 1 camera rca input.

I added a dedicated camera screen to the setup and mounted it on the dash for better visibility. The screen is a 7 " quad monitor from RVS (rear view safety)which will handle up to 4 cameras and it has internal multiplex switching so it eliminates the factory multiplex. Faster switching, better resolution and less sun glare on the screen due to the built in screen shade.

Can you send me a link to the camera setup you used?
