How in the hell does this convert to a bed? I pulled it out from the cushion under the seat back but it won't push down like it says in the manual and it actually hits the back slideout wall which is fully extended

If I pull it all the way forward it is upside down

You need the blowup mattress and remove the arms

Looking at the pictures, I'm thinking that one of the pieces is upside down.
When fully extended the legs should be pointing down.

We replaced ours with recliners so I can't go look. But I had that thing apart and reassembled several times. And I did the same thing with my in-laws identical rig.

Like others above have posted there is supposed to be an air mattress to sleep on. But I didn't see that as the problem you were trying to solve.

With the slide fully extended...it "should fold out and leave 6-8 inches between the sink counter and the end of the bed.

Thanks. I have the coleman air mattress. When I got the rig i thought my BIL had it in there just to have it, not that it was part of the sofa sleeper

The wife wants to get a murphy bed in there instead, but until then I't would be nice to know the sofa can be slept on

Try releasing the clips, and turning the end piece over so that the legs are down

Ok, so i had problems with this too. I have the same sofa and just bought a mattress...LostHorizon Queen size. Im really excited about this and actually came on this site to talk about it.

So yes, the legs swivel almost 300 degrees so support the bottom of the bed.

so the mattress..
It is the strangest thing I've ever witnessed...its a blow up that feels like a memory foam. It fits ever so tightly, a little bigger than the platform, but compared to the regular air, its night and day different...to me that is. Ill post on another thread the greats of it...

Let me know if you need a video of it. I'd be happy to oblige
