What make model of toilet is in the 2015 Axis 24.1 The seal isn;t holding water. I put some grease on it but that didn't work

Does the seal pull off and the new one slips on?

Also, what are your thoughts on macerating toilets and/or a macerator that attaches to the waste hose

Look on your build sheet glued to the inside of one of your cabinets to see exactly which model toilet was installed. Most seals are pretty easy to replace although you may need to do some disassembling.

No build sheet. I'm the 3rd owner. It is a thetford but I couldn't see any other markings
You may also be able to see the build sheet if you create an account at the Thor Owners Resource website at:

You'll need your VIN.

After you log in go to MAIN in the upper left then click on the "Component Serial Data Card" link to the right. You may not see Thetford for the toilet but just the model, like "Aqua Magic Style II"

My ‘17 Vegas is a 2-piece, so it’s a bit of a challenge to remove and install a new seal.
I’ve done it once, used the Amazon part, no leaks since

Why? AFAIK any toilet seat of the right shape will work. The bolt pattern is the same.
When it first happened, I went looking for an exact replacement and I saw them for around $50. I quit looking and decided to put that at the very bottom of the to-do list.

well I screwed that up. Took the toilet off, took it apart, replaced the ball seal and the base seal and overtightened the bolts that hold the bowl to the base. The porcelain cracked around the nuts. So far it is holding water in the bowl that I poured in but I haven't turned on the water so I don;t know if it is cracked so much that it will leak :(

I can't find just the bowl so I guess I'm buying a new toilet.

Anyone replace their Aqua Style II with a macerating toilet?? How hard was the install. I imaging the toughest part would be running power to it

Grr....

Any toilet will fit the base. But RV toilets are pretty simple devices. Why would you want to complicate it with a macerating toilet when the toilet is NOT on the passenger side?

Can buy brand new toilet for 200 bucks

I replaced 3 in last 2 weeks, campers were super happy !

I did that on a residential toilet once on the tank. I used epoxy resin inside an out and it never leaked and did not crack any further.

pieces of the base broke off. Right now it is holding water in the bowl , but it is just what I poured in to check the seal.
I'd rather spend the $$ on a new one and not worrying about it leaking in the middle of a trip

Put in the domestic 311 only to find that the water inlet is off to the side and the water line is to short to reach.

Where does the water line come from? How hard is it to replace?

Or can is just right up a male female couple with a short piece of hose?

What is the hose diameter? The fitting looks like 3/4"
