I just purchased a 2016 Crossroads Altitude AF3712. It has 2 fill ports on exterior for freshwater, not counting hose hookup for campgrounds. Also has a switch inside for #1 and #2 freshwater storage. It has 2 blackwater drains outside as well as 2 graywater drains. 2 seperate hookups for sewer drain hose. The switch inside doesnt seem to work as I filled both tanks and it doesnt swap over after using all water in 1 tank. Previous owner said he had never used storage tanks for frsehwater so he couldnt help. Anyone else have similar setup? I took switch panel off and looked for bad connections and all fuses are good. Also battery charge indicator and frehwater tanks arent showing water levels at all.

Do you know where you water pump is? If you can find it, turn your pump on and check your voltage at the pump. If you have 12 volts them your pump is probably bad. Being the sensors show nothing the problem sounds electrical.

Pump works fine as it emptied one freshwater tank but cant get it to switch to second tank.

Are you sure they are linked? If they are why are there 2 fill holes? Do you have 2 pumps? I'm not savvy with that tank system. Do you have access to your pump? Maybe there I'd a diverted valve.

I would think they are not linked as there are 2 fill holes. On inside control panel there is a selectiin switch for freshwater 1 and 2. I dont think this swaps tanks , but is only to check levels. There are also a switch for blackwater tanks to check levels of 1 and 2.

You probably have two pumps and two on off switches 1 and 2. Can you locate your pump? Have you ever winterized?

I have only found the one pump. Theres only one on/off switch and pump doesnt have a diverter valve. Pump is only accessible after removal of plywood cover. It does have a suction line for winterizing but haven't done it yet as im in Alabama with plans to take it to remote property in Florida for the winter.

Could there be a hose to each tank? Makes no sense to me. I wish I can get under it to look around. Did you find any archived paperwork?

I found this on a previously Crossroads post

QUOTE=r2millers;59650]I also have two tanks. If connected similarly, both tank lines attach to a valve tee (furtherest back). Turning it determines which tank is operating. There is another tee valve before the pump and it only goes up and is vented. I always leave this valve closed to the vent or you will just suck air. I think it might be used if the backflow valve in the pump fails when on city water. If that happened, you would fill your tank/s when trying to use the city supply and have to disconnect.

It also may be used for winterizing but we don't do that here.

I have a FW main tank and a galley tank. I also have two gray water tanks. The galley for the kitchen, main tank for the shower and bathroom.[/QUOTE]

When I filled the tanks they seemed to hold about the same amount of water. I will definitely dig deeper to look for a valve to switch but visually not seeing them. The hose that is open on one end is to siphon antifreeze into the plumbing system I think. I would think any device to switch tanks would be easily accessible. To access water pump I had to remove a plywood panel. Really hoping someone that has similar setup would provide some info. I have owned several rvs over the years but have never seen one with 2 freshwater tanks as well as 2 gray and 2 black. I will check in rear area as maybe 2nd bath uses secondary systems . But havent heard 2nd pump running when I would use sink in rear area. Thanks so much for trying to help. I did diagnose my control panel not reading some levels. It has a push button that shows led lights when you push it but some were not working. On back of circuit board I can manually cross two solder joints for button and it will show reading.

You sure are on top of it. Please keep us all informed on your progress. If I find anything I'll post. Best of luck.
