2016 Thor Vegas 25.2 from North Carolina

I was actually looking at sprinter class C when I happened to take the Vegas out for a test drive and fell in love with it. We have had it for less than a month and already have put over 500 miles on it.

We are planning on taking it up to Canada next month.

I have already started the modification process. My first project was adding front Sumo Springs which was a very easy process. The Inverter and WeBoost are going to take a lot more planning.

Welcome (but we already talked a few times on Private Mess - lol). We were the same way.... Looked a some Class C's but loved the Axis / Vegas RUV's more.

We love our 2016 25.2 also. Just the fact that the VEGAS allowed me leg room, and you can see stop lights when you are pulled up to "the white line" was enough to sell us on the VEGAS over the Class C. Plus, the same size VEGAS seems MUCH larger inside than the Class C.

Yeah I was leaning twards the C class mostly for price but once my wife tried to sit down in one and felt how enclosed it felt to her .... then we stepped into the Axis she was sold.

We were looking to downsize from our 33' Class back in 2015, and spent over an hour at the Tampa show in a Winn Travato, trying to figure out how we could fit all our "stuff" in. When we compared the Vegas 25.2, we got a lot more coach for less $$$. For us and the way we travel, it is a great fit. Enjoy!

Have any of you Axis/Vegas owners towed a vehicle? If so, what kind/size vehicle and what was it like. My concern with those 2 models are they might be underpowered for towing...especially in mountains.

No issues towing (granted all 4 vehicles shown are a stones throw away from 3,600 lbs):




Not sure why you'd think its underpowered given that it has a similar V-10 to the ones in the much larger F-53 chassis (yeah its the 2-valve version instead of the 3-valve version but still an Axis or Vegas weighs so much less than an F-53 based coach).

The heaviest of the 4 is the C-Max which comes in around 3,900 lbs (since it has both powertrains in it).

I have not tried to tow anything yet, but I went for a drive through the Virginia mountains 2 weeks ago and the cruise control was able to maintain speed up and down the hills no problem. It felt like there was power to spare.

There is a huge electric sun shade that you can lower down. It does a great job blocking out the sun when driving.

Hello, we have a 2016 Vegas 25.2 and I currently tow a 2016 Cadillac SRX. Always run around 60-64 mph. The Ford V-10 at 305 hp does a great job the motorhome handles well. This is my 3rd motorhome with the Ford v-10 and all 3 of them had no issues pulling my toads.

You need to call truck alignment places to see who can do a Class A with a Ford front end.
I checked for ones with good ratings. Not easy even in Denver
