2017 Thor ACE 30.3 degrading upholstrey

Our journey. Different Mfg, but they had the same crappy chinese fake leather on out 2016 Sunseeker. It started in the third year on the recliners. We contacted our dealer, Forest River and even the furniture mfg, with no luck buying replacement upholstery. We threw some Amazon stretch covers over the recliners for a couple of years, then looked into having them recovered. We were quoted ~2 grand to recover. No Thanks. We kept the covers on for another year, then started shopping for replacements. We went to Camping World near Macon Ga just to see what they had. They were having a clearance sale on a Kathy Ireland reclining love seat for ~$700 in a faux leather that matched our dinette, so we bought it. Last year the dinette covers started flaking. We found an upholsterer near us here in MidWest Georgia that quoted ~$1200 to replace the covers with a fabric that coordinated with the recliners, so we dropped the cushions off last week. She said they would be ready in about 4 weeks.
Original attached. New Loveseat in last picture. It was one piece, but the backs come off and it fit through the door and 65" which fit the space. Very pleased.

The recliner backs have spring clips at the bottom of each arm. Press or pull depending on the style of clip and the lower arms slide apart from the upper arms. Home recliners work the same way if you have one and want to look at it.

I guess I wasn't clear. I meant to ask how the dinette seat backs are removed (the ones around the table). Did you also have those recovered?

The couch was first to go after 18 months, Next to go, were the captain's chairs at 6 years. Now the dinette is going. Not just the seats , but the drawer covers and wooden vinyl covered bench backs. The good news is that all of the thin vinyl in the coach.
