We would like to change out the showerhead in our 2017 Thor Ace. Are there aftermarket showerheads that will work or will we need to go through Thor and get a OEM showerhead? We are looking for something that has a little better quality and pressure.

As Duck says - any shower head will fit; as it's a standard screw-on fitting. A little plumber's tape to seal the threads, and you're in bidness.

Now how much you can improve your pressure is another matter. While a 'head with smaller nozzles will give you some gain; you'll still be somewhat limited by the pressure your water pump can produce. Your friendly neighborhood Lowe's or Home Depot associate may be able to point you toward specific options for maximum shower pressure with limited "pipe" pressure.

Since 1992 all shower assemblies have had a 2.5 g/m flow restriction in the valve assembly or head. If your piping and pump can handle it, removing the restriction will make a significance difference.

What problem are you trying to solve? If it's a perceived pressure issue, make sure you're using your RV's pump and fresh water tank... not an unknown campground water connection.

You can get very efficient shower results with a properly designed shower head. Flow rate alone won't necessarily give you a quality shower... like standing under a 5/8" garden hose with 100psi. Lots of WATER... but it isn't going where you want, AND wastes a lot of water in the process. Spray pattern is an important part. Some "low flow" shower heads have an excellent spray pattern. You just have to find the style you like.

We've used the Oxygenic shower head for several years with good results. But there's a bunch of similar options.

We like boondocking and replaced our shower head with a "Bricor" and it flows less than a gallon per minute so we NEVER shut the water just limit them to 4 minutes or less. Shower feels great.

We use an oxygenics shower head and its a huge improvement. Check poshmark there's a few listed and great prices.
