My house battery has lost its charge and is not being recharged by shore power (which is working fine) because the disconnect relay is off and I cant see how to get it on. The battery switch is the kind with the light not the rotary type and it will not turn on the disconnect relay. I can jumper the disconnect relay to make it come on so it is not the relay it is the switch not turning it on. My problem is I cannot see wiring coming to the disconnect relay from the switch. Does anyone know how the house battery switch is supposed to operate the disconnect relay. I have asked THOR for a wiring diagram or a schematic but the only thing they send me just shows the disconnect relay and not the switch to the relay. Thanks.

For the switch to operate the latching relay two conditions must be met:

The house batteries must have enough charge to operate the solenoid on the relay to cause it to switch condition, and
The fuse(s) at/in the latching relay must be good.

Thank you. I guess I will have use a battery charger to charge them. Wonder why they wired the light on the house battery switch to use the shore power?

That light is just an indication that there is 12 VDC on the house DC buss. It works the same way as if you left an overhead light on/ If the house buss has power either from the house batteries or from the converter (SP or generator) the light is on.
