Ordered first week of June from Fire and still not shipped. Power steering motor squealing (failing). Rv packed with everything except food to head north from Florida to Connecticut…standstill.

Ford F-53 v10 Triton 2018. New and remanufactured parts not in stock anywhere on planet earth.

Ford Part numbers.

Remanufactured
STPV102RM (that was their old number)
*STPV332RM (their new number)

The part numbers for a new part are:

* * STP275 (old number)
* * STP314 (new number)

I found three this week from different reliable and unreliable sources and bought them; eBay, advanced auto parts, fordpartsgiant.com. Rushed delivery on all three. Called several dealers across East and middle America, same issue with back orders.

Possible one of these units will fit and work so we can travel.

Maybe this info will help someone else.

Interesting as they have used the V10 for years now. hard to believe that a power steering pump is a hard to find item with them using that motor in thousands of motorhomes. I hope this is just a onetime issue..

A second thought as I reread your post. You were looking for a OEM part. With them now using that new motor (Godzilla) they may be not building those pumps anymore. They probably redesigned the pump to go with the new motor. If so, aftermarket will be your best bet.. i did use the local ford house when i needed a new trans cooler line. Had it in stock and reasonably priced i might add.. 2017 Thor ACE 30.2

So,
What's your plan for the two extra pumps you purchased?

Very long story but in the end, I found a brand new steering pump on eBay. It showed up and was the exact model. The unit was $170. Two hours after installed, I headed north for 1,300 4 day trip north. All good.
According to Ford, only one other motor for an F53 v10 Ford for class A in existence and it’s in Michigan and was recently sold.
Also, bought a remanufactured on from advanced auto parts. They only had one in the USA. Got it. Keeping it. It was $80.

The one I bought off eBay, if the seller only did some research, could have sold easily for $1,500. A new one from Ford, if they ever make them again, lists on their website for $1,750.

Unusable thor for a few months…all good now.

I have all the sku numbers god forbid anyone needs one and wants to search the planet for one.

Advice- change steering fluid 1x a year. Drain it completely. Add some “marvel” magic liquid to it after a long trip. Drive often.

I haven't changed mine in 6 years and 40,000 miles and had no issues. Musta been luck of the draw.

Won’t hurt to add a little marvel magic to it to keep it bright red and prevent “gunk” , if that’s the word.

By the way. Fordgiantparts.com is not a store, just a broker who finds parts and tries to buy them and sell them to you with a massive mark up. They advertised a new pump, I bought it and paid for rush shipping. July 5th they confirmed via e-mail and said it’s in process. 5 mins after that email they sent another email “can’t process without verbal review and confirmation of purchase…please call”. I called and they confirmed shipping and Cc info. All good. A few hours later the $180 new pump turned into a$750 when they called back to say the website prices on July 3rd was a mistake. I told them to too bad, already purchased. Rep insisted that it does not work like that and she cancelled my order. I asked if they had the part in stock because I was desperate …$750 was ridiculous but….she checked and they don’t have it and it’s not available anywhere in the states.

Correct. Ford changed the pump after 2017.
