Hey all,

I have a new (to me) sequence 20l with a onan generator.

I cannot seem to track down any videos or information on changing the onan generator oil FILTER.

Everyone seems to just change the oil (only).

Does anyone have any experience or information on changing the oil + filter? There is almost zero clearance where the generator sits (back of the rig).

Do I have to pull the generator off to actually get to the filter?

I see a lot of travato videos on youtube, but again they just seem to change the oil not the filter..

I bought the service kit for gasoline generator engines.

Thanks, Ben

Wen you did the extensive search you heralded:
Did you look in the manual or download a manual or look at any diagram?

Pull out the generator.
Report back about how to access the oil filter once you've removed the generator.

I purchased the RV used - no documentation was provided - however, the onan customer reps did CONFIRM that there is no oil filter, the picture that is used for the service manual was incorrect on their site - and they are also going to get me a service manual.. so this has been resolved - there is NO oil filter on this model as a previous reply indicated..

As you have no manuals:
Always use a search engine with the proper name of the item
As

https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f4/weatherpro-awning-37758.html#post419849

An example is above.

Very very often we here just cut and paste the title of the post or the body of the post into a search engine.

Your manual is free on-line.

Someone else may come along and let you know of te thor site with your particular vin needed to access all of your manuals.

I have the Onan 2800i and confirm there is no oil filter to change. Have changed the oil on mine three times already and very simple to do. The most difficult part of the job is getting the new oil (1 quart) back in. Use either a small mason jar and small funnel or pump it in.
If you change the fuel filter post the process here because have not done that yet.
