Greetings to all
On our final trip before selling her (of course!), as we are raising the power bunk, the right side went up an inch or two higher than the left (nothing blocking the left). Now the motors seem to be working but it cannot be raised (or lowered) completely and is tilted. The manual that came with our purchase is for a different bed.
Your assistance is greatly appreciated (I did try to search this forum before posting).
Sue

CORRECTION: The right motor (actuator?) makes a sound, the left does not.

You are referring to the overhead bunk above the driver/passenger front seats? If the motors are out of sync, you can raise and lower them several times and make sure to hold the button down a few seconds after they have stopped moving in each direction. There are a couple of YouTube videos showing this method to re-sync the motors.

1 - Find the controller.
2 - In it there is a lil button which you should press 6 times and on the 7th you should hold until both lights are blinking.
3 - When that happens, put the bed down all the way until both sides are resting on their stop (level).
4 - turn off the main battery switch and wait 10 seconds.
5 - Turn on the main battery switch.
6 - Press up, let the bed move up 3 inches then stop.
7 - Press down and when the bed stops moving keep pressing the button for 5 seconds.
8 - Do 6 and 7 3 times.

If you don't have any wiring or motor sensor problems, this should be enough to solve the problem.

Thank you. The left motor doesn't seem to work at all. The bed (you are correct - above the drivers seat) will not go up or down. Checked fuses, wire connections, etc.
I guess we may have to remove the bed to see what's going on.

I went on YouTube and saw the control that you mention. Ours is different. It has the on/off key and the up/down toggle switch. That's it. I'll keep searching!

Read post #6.

Control Panel and Controller are NOT the same thing.

bunk stuck

Hello. I have had the same problem on the same system. there is no controller . Just the key and on /off switch. Mine went calk eyed also. I slithered up on the stuck bunk while it was crocked and removed the motor that wasnt working . I put it on the work bench and lo and behold the brushes were stuck. I sprayed it with electical cleaner and it now works better and faster than ever.
Good Luck

This is very interesting! It might affect how we use the bed. If there is no controller (I have a 2015 ACE 30.1) then we should probably NOT try to "amp out" when moving up and down. It would seem to me if it is just 2 DC motors, simply activated by the switch, we really should not drive the motor when motion stops.

We have a 2016 Thor Ace 30.1. It has the same bunk as yours. It folds in half as it goes up to the ceiling. You will have to lay up on the bed the best you can even though it is stuck and get to the motor that is not working. Maybe try taping it with a screw driver handle before going any further to see if the brushes are sticking . Either you will have to remove the motor and open it up and clean inside with electrical cleaner or if it starts working before you remove it ........cut the stupid short wire and splice more length into it and bring the wires down along side the windshield post .Separate the wires instead of joining them together. Install clips on the wires so you can unplug them or plug them. This way you can controll the motors from down below should the bed get out of sinc again.
FYI....... The fuse in the main fuse panel that is for the bunk is the same as the AWNING fuse
