I've had it about a year. I have had an average amount of issues. Non working shades. Trim installed by folks who have no idea how it's supposed to look. Bedframe collapsed. Refrigerator quit working. Pioneer radio won't connect to bluetooth. When it did connect, the phone can't be controlled with steering wheel button. USB ports and lights not working. Recall on fuel line to Onan. That's all I can remember.
I expected as much. But at $69,900, I couldn't have built one for that price.
I actually love it.

Hey, welcome to the forum! Are you a first time RV owner? Hopefully you have cleared most of the issues and can get on with the enjoyment part. Care to share your travel plans or plces you have been with your Scope?

Wiggles travels

Not new to RVs, but new to posting on a forum. This one makes my 3rd attempt to reply.
I've had several small travel trailers for years with 1/2 ton pick up. Before that, a 1973 VW Westfalia.
I'm retired and really like self sustained (free) camping.
I've put about 6000 mi. on it since January. My wife still works, so trips are more long weekends. We have camped in many AZ boondocking spots, wife's business to Phoenix, rockhounding and metal detecting spots in az and nm.

2023 Scope Warranty

I have owned my 2023 Scope for over a year, my warranty states 2 yrs from Thor Motor Coach. It will be 2 years ownership on May 11th, 2024. I have a power vent on the front roof just before the AC unit. Recently this power vent has been leaking through the frame in heavy rain. The power vent is shut tight and it still leaks. My Camping World dealership contacted TMC and they said its not covered by the warranty, it's a maintenance item. The owner is expected to clean and reseal the vent if this occurs.
My question is how many other owners have have this problem and attempted to get TMC to repair it?
I cannot find any reference in the owners documentation stating that the power vent and water leaks are maintenance items to perform on a regular time schedule. Anyone else have thoughts on this issue, please let me know - - thanks!

Look at sealing/maintenance in the exclusions section of the warranty. Chalking is a maintenance item.

I wouldn't wait for warranty on a leak in your roof vent. Check around the vent on top for cracks or holes in the sealant. Even if you don't see anything obvious, generously coat the entire area with Dicor self leveling sealant. I bet you can fix this easily yourself!

I also have a Camping World Good Sam Extended Service Plan and was told this does not apply until the TMC warranty expires. This whole situation seems to be a double jeopardy to me.
It sounds like this is to be expected on any TMC Class B camper, so many owners are affected. I still cannot find any documentation about how to maintain the vent sealant. Does anyone have a guide or link to maintenance for these power vents?

Ok, I will find some written guide for this and get this re-done, I had attempted to reseal using some off-the-shelf sealant, but obviously it didn't last.
I've had every other type of camper (motorhome, trailer, and 5th wheel) and never had a roof vent problem like this. It seems Class B campers come with their own set of problems, and I am trying to keep it simple as an older person. Thanks for your suggestions.
