I have a brand new Thor Challenger 35 MQ (purchased in July on my third trip) I’m in Florida till April. I’ve had numerous problems that required me to return it to General RV in Wixom MI they kept it sometimes for weeks.

I now have an issue with the ceiling lights in the bathroom. When you step into the shower, or hit the wall with your elbow the lights go out. I have the Firefly low voltage system. Hitting the wall again the lights work, then turn off again.

Has anyone had this problem-I do not want to take it back to General Rv.

Only the bathroom ligjts are affected

No wires, it’s bluetooth to the control panel with a battery. There are 3 other switches that work fine on the panel.

There's wires to the light. If you don't have a physical switch then there is a control relay that turns power ON/OFF to the light. Any connection in the light loop would be suspect for your symptom.

Your coach is still under warranty. Find a good mobile RV mechanic. Have him or her give you a written estimate Call Thor MC CS and have them authorize a mobile mechanic and send them a copy of the estimate. If parts are required in the estimate, they will overnight them to you. After the repair is complete, pay the mobile mechanic place a paid-in-fill copy of the bill in the prepaid return box that you are using to return the broken parts back to Thor MC. Takes about 20 working days for the Thor MC reimbursement check to arrive.

I had the awning lights and the latching relay replaced on my coach. The only cost was my time watching the mechanic work.

Get Thor’s authorization first. Mobile mechanics don’t give free estimates and if Thor doesn’t authorize the repair you would be stuck with the cost of the estimate.

It is my personal experience that Thor MC CS will not authorize the mobile mechanic repair until the get the estimate of the cost of the repair. They have a max hourly rate they will approve and the previous experiences Thor MC CS has had with that mobile mechanic.

I would start at lights power supply and work backwards, that includes pulling the light circuit board and plugging it back in. Not familiar with what type is in your rig guessing LED but I agree just loose connection
