Hi, we're first-time TV buyers.

Wondering if you have experience with the Thor Sequence 20L. It looks very similar to the '24 Entegra Ethos LI 20TL, which we were about the purchase, but, walk-through was a disaster. The dealer has a lot of issues to address.

Layout looks very similar, same RAM ProMaster® 3500 XT window van chassis. And, um, that's where I get lost. I think the Ethos has a dual lithium battery + solar, no propane. I'm *told* it's more efficient. I *hear* it may be unreliable in cold weather - we're skiers.

Thoughts on the Sequence power system, reliability, winter camping - off of the power grid? Thank you

If you are looking for a 4 season van, the Sequence (or Tellaro) has very sketchy insulation. And although their LiFePo4 batteries are "low temp" they are hung outside the van underneath (unless they've changed). You would want them inside for some temp advantage. For winter camping I would think you'd be better off with a generator option, whether you have lithium or not. I'm not familiar with the Entegra setup, but without propane, you are relying on an all electric setup. Maybe not best for relying on all battery setup. And then, there is solar. Not a lot of roof real estate to do much more than a trickle charge. Lots to think about. Good luck.

I have a Tellaro 20L, and have worked it over extensively, and can tell you NOT to get it for winter use- as MC said- not a 4 season van, and def. NOT insulated (what I call insulation in VT especially) Instead look at the Coachmen Nova 20RB as they are insulated and better built as well. I moved my batteries off the bottom and now can maintain them properly by removing them for sinter storage.
I knew Thor was poorly buit, but I had a plan to rebuild it from the start- had the components I liked, and I know how to do all the stuff. I do not plan to insulate- would require too much work, and I don't need it anyways as we are summer campers. God luck!!

Very helpful. Thank you so much. Would you know what questions I should ask of the Entegra Ethos dealer to ensure it can handle winter camping? So far I'm getting 'yes yes...lithium yadda yadda..."

No prob!
I would do some online research- dealer probably has no idea and just wants to sell to get his/her commison.
Most of all- don't fall for extended service plans!! My dealer wanted to sell me one for $10k. NOPE. I can invest that $10k and do a lot better.
3rd party tear-down of the Entegra or a review including a winter trip in the RV. I'd google best insulated RVs and then look at the Entegra reviews from winter users. Google is your friend...
Poorly insulated like the Thor products = too much propane wasted. Electric heaters are NOT a good option- too much risk of fire.
(PS- I moved my batteries inside- lots easier to manage and maintain, also upgraded to 600A from 200A)

Yah re: the dealer. It's been a ride. Really appreciate it. Winnebago Travato 59k has good reviews for winter. I'm going to dig in. Really appreciate it.
