Hello all, we have a new 2025 axis 26.1. We are looking for help getting CarPlay connected. The dealership has not been helpful other than saying we can bring it in to the service department. We are plugged in to the usb, but the CarPlay option is still “greyed out” and says no device connected. Bluetooth works on our other vehicles, do the phones are enabled. This cord works in our other vehicles, but it is not an Apple certified cord. Am I missing something? Thanks

Either get an Apple cord or put in a new NON Axxera unit. They are notorious for being junk.

As others have suggested, make sure you are using the correct USB port.
It does not appear that the one bottom right in your pic is the one.
If in doubt, pop the top of your dash above the radio and follow the correct data cable to the USB. It should be labeled &/or described in the Axxera manual.

What USB port are you plugging into? Many of the dash USB ports are charge only. They have to have routed the radio's USB port to the dash.

I was surprised to find I had to use the lower port, not the one on the radio.
I don't think that is anywhere in the manual.

Problem solved. We needed to plug into the usb outlet that is NOT part of the radio, but the one that is on the dash down below the heater. You can see it on the picture. The dealership told us it was the one on the radio itself that we needed to use. We did try this lower one a few times with no luck, but it suddenly started working with just one of our several cords that we tried.

we have a 2024 resonate with the same unit we found out that only the mini c usb would hook up android auto, i bought a wireless adapter that plugs into the USB and it hooks to my phone via bluetooth.

We had issues with our 2023 ACE. When I pull the unit I found the Mic cable wasn't even connected to the unit. Make sure you try all the USB ports on thr dash. Only one should be connected to thr radio.

I have a 2025 Thor Palazzo GT with the same radio and struggled to get Apple CarPlay to work. After a lot of hunting around the dash, I finally found a USB port hidden in the back of a cubby hole—practically invisible without a flashlight.

Plugged in my phone and BOOM! Problem solved.

So, if you're having trouble, keep looking—there might be a hidden USB port lurking somewhere.

But a word of caution—be very careful when unplugging the USB cord. The Thor USB ports are poorly made. The same port that got my CarPlay working? Well, two days later, when I pulled the cord out, the entire inside of the port came out with it—completely stuck to the cord. Wow.

Had to take it to the dealer just to replace the port. So yeah, proceed with caution! 😅

When we purchased our motorhome it was brand new from the factory (we ordered it). The CarPlay would not work and we struggled with it until we pulled back the dash cover and discovered that Thor did not plug in the USB from the head unit to the dash USB port. We had to find an adapter to plug it in and that fixed our problem. Remember the line "life is like a box of chocolates - you never know what you are going to get". Seems like buying an RV could be the same.

My mic cable was technically attached to the unit—technically. But, in true Thor fashion, it was dangling under the dash like a forgotten Christmas ornament. I only found it while searching for the mystical, hidden USB port to get my CarPlay working. Wow, Thor… you’ve done it again! 🙄😂
