We are just a few days shy of living in our Redwood for 3 months. We sold our house in July and stayed in an old (96) motorhome with no slides for nearly 3 months. The Redwood has been a dream since then. We didn't even consider one when we were looking. We had just about decided on a Heartland and was visiting a dealer about to make a decision whenthe salesman asked us if we wanted to just look at one. Fell in love with it immediately. We may have to upgrade our tow vehicle eventually, but I still have a few years to work before we really begin traveling. My Ford had no trouble towing it home, but we haven't gone anywhere since. Only problem so far has been the halogen bulb problem others have mentioned. Our local RV supply store has LED replacements that we are slowly upgrading to.

We have not experienced any halogen bulb issues yet on our 36 FB. If and when we do, changing over to LED sounds like the way to go.

Please provide manufacturer and part number info so I know what to look for when the halogen bulbs fail me... I would prefer to shop online instead of paying RV Part Shop prices

We have only used our RW 36RL for a couple of weeks since purchasing last fall, so, we haven't had any problems with lights to this point. I have read on other forums where folks with other brands of travel trailers have had the same issue of lamps failing with 2 or 3 months of continual use. Even HitchHiker owners seem to have the problem with the halogen lamps.

A couple of the sources for the LED's that I have seen suggestedare the following:

I assume you can find the part number on the lamps you are using now and then go to these web sites and cross references for a replacement part.

Good luck.

Yes the bulbs seem to blow after a few months. We've ordered some starlights from our local rv dealer. Being a small business owner, I prefer to support our local businesses when possible. We've had 9 go out so far. Seems to onlybe the 20 watt ceiling lights that are going out.

I have had one of the 12 volt lamps fail in our 36RL. I kept a couple of the ceiling lights on continuously over our inside steps and after about 4 weeks, both lights went out. When I went to check them by removing the cover lense, on the first one I did not know how the lense came off and was pulling on it rather than turning the lense. It popped off rather suddenly and when it did, the light turned on, so, it seemed to have been loose in the socket. The second light was definitely out and had a blown lamp. The only marking that I can see on the lamp is 20W, so, I assume that it is 20 watts. There is no other part number marking. Does anyone knowa replacement P/N for an LED lamp that works for them?<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

The bulb is called a G4 base. The ceiling lights are 20w and the smaller fixtures are 10w. I found some at Walmart for $5 a pair if I remember the price correctly. We are also replacing most of them with Starlight LEDs. These run about $24 apiece though.
I thought at first there were loose connections somewhere in the fixture because the same thing happened to each of our lights, a little vibration and they would come back on. I now believe that a part of the filament would reconnect when I tapped the fixtures. Believe me, they will go out permanently soon.

Rachel and I are ordering a new RW36FB probably today from Explore USA in Canton, Texas..Anyonehere dealt with this dealer...Anyone purchased stackable W/D for this unit that could tell me about if factory installed what brand and sizes
