My 36rl comes off line tomorrow, supposedly. I am excited, and nervous, for my PDI. I hope everything is great, as you guys say here. It is no secret that my Rushmore Washington, that I fell in love with, minus all the problems I've had, is a let down. I hope I love the Redwood as much, and not have all the problems. I was assured that QC would pay special attention to my new rig. I sincerely want to be a true lover of the brand, like most here. Fingers crossed.

Just raise your tolerance bar a bit and enjoy the new rig. Expect some problems, and know that RW will take care of it. If you get wrapped too tight, the first thing you find wrong will ruin the rest of the PDI.

Jerry, make sure you check on WHERE it goes after it leaves the line. Most are parked in a holding lot. Mine sat there for 3 weeks until I called and RW was great about getting it on the road for us. There is a BIG shortage of delivery drivers. I am not sure where you are taking delivery, but make sure they KNOW you are waiting! They can push it along.

Yes the lots are full in Elkhart with RV's waiting to be delivered. Drivers aren't paid much, so people don't want to do it. They get paid going and coming back it's their own pocket.....

Thanks.
I'm pretty sure they want to get rid of me as soon as possible. I'm kind of persistent. :D

Quick question about the 36rl. Is it possible to access the bathroom and bedroom at all with the slides in?

Absolutely. It is a little bit of a tight squeeze, but, you can get into the bathroom, and through the bathroom, to the bedroom. You can also access the the right side of the refrigerator and all of the freezer. (we have a Dometic refrigerator)

One more question. Is the "Dad's toolbox" in the standard options list the rear storage compartment just above the 2" hitch at the rear of the 36rl?

You will have dad's tool box, but not sure about the rear compartment or not I know all the 38's have it. On second thought I'm sure they all have them by now.

My wife would not let me have a 36RL if she couldn't get to the bathroom without moving the slides :)

The Dads toolbox is a compartment next to the door that is big enough to house a toolbox, and it has a plug and light! Its different than the rear compartment

Thanks. I am relieved as we are picking up a 2014 36rl next month and didn't think of that when we looked at it initially.

We love the Dads Toolbox. Because it has an outlet it's a perfect place for all of those DeWalt batteries to charge :)

36 rl

look over real good heater ducks on mine were off door at top damaged cabinets coming apart look over good I think quitly control is not the best

Actually I used that storage space for an outdoor radio to play since no speakers on the outside of the coach. And we have our outdoor tv on the other side of the main entry door

Finally, tomorrow is the big day. Walk though, and delivery of my new 2015 36rl.

I do like that in the 36rl. If I am seeing the floor plan correctly, you can also get to the bed through the bathroom, without putting the slides out. Both are very important to me, as it so much easier, when traveling, to catch a nap, or a bathroom break without moving the slides. I also like being able to open refer doors while traveling, without moving slides. Usable bathroom, bedroom, and refrigerators, without opening slides, should be in all manufacturer's designs, for all RVs.
