3rd passenger middle seat - jump seat

Been searching for anyone else that might have done something similar. I have 2 kids (7 & 10) that both get car sick if they sit in the back too long on trips. They fight over sitting in the only passenger seat in the cab or sometimes sit doubled up. Was thinking of installing a middle folding seat/center console from a late model Ford superduty utilizing the existing lap belt. I know this will make it even harder to crawl from the cab to living space and back and probably require the arm rests to be removed to fold up etc, but thinking it may be worth trying. There are a few companies that make 3rd party jump seats also, but I am finding pretty good prices on pulled middle console seats from Fords that seem like they would work attaching to the floor. Any thoughts or recommendations? Pic attached with what I found.

I'd do it.
Wouldn't hesitate.
But
I'm not a safety first type guy.

Safety people here might have something else to say.
(I'd ask them what size motorcycle helmet they wear in their RV)

Thanks for the reply. In terms of safety I would have to imagine a child in a seat bolted to the floor with a lap belt will be better then sleeping on the couch or sitting at the dinette (most likely unbelted). Whenever we ride mass transit whether it be the local light rail, bus, or Coaster train we are taking the same risk.

Shop4seats has a jump seat that fits exactly between the front two seats in a Mercedes Benz Sprinter. It uses the existing floor bolt holes from the front seats to bolt down to the floor. It also has a shoulder/seat belt built into it for safety. It is also a bit pricey at $1100. The seat actually slips into the base that is attached to the floor and is easily removed leaving only the seat base frame attached to the floor.

Shop4seats Sprinter Jump Seat.

Been done quite some time ago on the Jayco Senecas using the Super Duty Seat. Go to the Jayco forum and search on jump seat.

Funny... we rode bikes barefoot on gravel roads as kids. And I don't think bike helmets were even invented yet... There was a theory then that pain is a very good teacher... if you survived.

We had half sheets of plywood we would jump into dustdevils with.
We'd steal handles off of anything we could find and attach them with bent over nails.
Slammed on our face 98 of 100 times, best air was probably a very scary 10feet.
When I bought the surplus little reserve parachute, mom put the halts to our devil chasing.
So, we switched to model rockets...those got VERY big.

Almost every scar I have is bicycle related.

Had a dog that got sick traveling so we would squirt lemon juice in it's mouth. Worked every time. Gave a cat half a "people tranquilizer" one time when we moved. Not a peep, or yowl from him.

You had gravel!! We had to ride bikes on mud roads uphill both ways.
