9 days NM camping / 6 dry

Stayed at these beautiful parks.
Villanueva st park,Cimarron Canyon St Park,Hyde Memorial st park
New Mexico

Total park fees $48

Observations 2020 Vegas 26.5, 2 AGM 125 AH, 180 watt solar panel,
3000 watt inverter.

- Hyde Memorial State Park is close to Santa Fe, NM. Big private spaces.
- All parks cool at night
- AGM batteries are amazing. Thanks Duck
- Drove a total of 900 miles.
- Always used generator on the road to keep dogs cook
- 6 days dry camping was excellent
- Used inverter for microwave & coffee pot. Found out inverter shuts off if both used
- the Verizon home internet used with coffee pot shut down inverter.
- With full or limited sun the 180 watt solar keep batteries at 12.4 or above.
- when heater used often morning battery 12.2. Still the inverter worked with the coffee pot.
- Lora finally trusts the system and will now have no limit on dry camping
- On our 1st day and odor came from the grey tank. Some water sat in the hot NM sun for weeks. Went to Walmart and dumped 2 gallons bleach in grey and zero issues rest of trip.
- used our solar crank ham radio for weather reports
- used stem bug killer successfully
- used ampro ant block successfully
- Awning tape worked great in the rain
- usb mosquito device worked
- the bmpro rebooted 3 times but phone app worked
- used Ducks add water to berkie until hot
- excellent showers in rig
- Lora & I used our headlight flash light often
- the CLAM was a weather game changer

Hey Scuba
If the Verizon box is anything like the one I have you can run it off 12VDC and save some of that inverter juice for 120v stuff. Just a thought.
PS Sorry your dogs cook.

Sorry I'm missed your post reply. On my rig I have installed a 12vdc distribution panel inside an cabinet behind our flat screen and simple added a connection for the Verizon box there. All you'd need is a standard 12vdc cigarette lighter at one end and a 12v center positive connector to fit the Verizon box. Without going through the calculations the Verizon box runs on 12vdc power so in your case the solar panel produces dc power to charge your batteries which powers your 120vac inverter then the Verizon box used 120vac and converts it back to dc at 12v. If you use 12vdc power from your battery or converter you reduce power loss. Just a more direct power usage. Hope this makes sense.
