2011 ACE 29.1 slideout would not retract at campground. Has been working up till now. no blown fuses no circuit breakers tripped. Controller has 12 volts. No error codes. Jumpered both motors at controller to get slideout to retract. Switch seems dead. What about motor running interlock?

You should have the same side controller for the overhead bunk. Swap it out and see if the slide works. The slide switch is powered by the slide's controller.

Could be a dead controller as Beau says;

Or could be a bad ignition interlock wiring/relay.

My interlock for the two slide is under the bed. It is a SP,ST relay. Powered to inhibit the power ti the controllers and un-powered when the ignition is in the off or acc position.

No horse in this race, but when you say the relay is powered to inhibit, that sounds bass-ackwards to me. If the relay coil would burn out, then the slide would work (power would be applied to the controller), no?

Plant 750 thought was the ignition would be off when the coach was in store or in use. If the ignition is on, you want the slide in (retracted) for travel and under no conditions would ever want to move the slide while traveling. The inhibit is to the controller; however, the controller is always powered if the use/store is jn use (master power-on).

LCI Schwintek slide controllers actually do draw a small amount of power even when the slide is stationary. This is because the controller needs to maintain its operational state and be ready to respond to commands. However, the power consumption is minimal. This keeps the slide locked in when traveling.

Other Thor MC plants and Thor Industries plants use other inhibit protocols and different slide systems rather than the Schwintek In-Wall system used by plant 750.

I recently had a similar issue on a 2024 Windsport 33R. It turned out that there was a broken battery cable. The one that tied the two house batteries together was broken. The firefly indicated that there was power however after exhausting everything looking in the battery compartment we discovered the broken cable. Once repaired, everything worked. Apparently the slide was trying to operate off the inverter and there just wasn’t enough amperage.

Slides don't work off of inverters and only draw about 10 DC amps.
