ACE 30.3 tow capacity

Forgive me if this has been asked before, I searched but didn't find anything right off. Maybe I should spend more time searching....

Anyway, we have a 2018 Thor ACE 30.3 It has a tow capacity of 8000 pounds. We're currently towing a Jeep but I'm thinking about trading it in for a Chevy Z71 crew cab (long term plans are in the works). Anyone towing something like this? Any issues with weight?

Your HITCH rating is 8000 lbs. The difference between your GVWR and GCWR is only 5000 lbs. So unless your coach is 3000 lbs lighter than your GVWR you can't tow 8000 lbs. You may be pushing it with your Jeep. Get you coach weighed loaded for camping to see what you really can tow.

Ah, good info. Thanks! I'll do that. We're planning to downsize substantially and getting a 1/2 ton pickup is in the cards. We may hold off on that and keep the Jeep for now.
