Our 2019 Windsport 34J doesn't have a filtration system. I generally don't drink from my RV faucets anyway but this is my first coach with an icemaker. Asked the dealer and they sold me screw-on filter that attaches inline with hose when I hook up to city supply. Has anyone installed filter in permanent location? My unit doesn't seem to have logical connection point.

I just bought a screw on type like they gave you. I dont drink the water either. Bought it to keep sediment out of the water lines.

I looked into mounting one but decided it wasnt worth the trouble.

If you do mount one please post some pic of it.

I will! Sent an email to Thor asking for input where best place to mount. Will post any response too.

Thor mounted one in my 29h under the sink. It was a pita to reach and made it a pain to winterize. I eliminated it and now run the screw on type.

The screw-on filters are a whole lot better than nothing...
We used on in conjunction with the PITA under the sink setup, and our water was always pretty darn good! :thumb:

Just make sure that you don't scrimp on the quality of the filters... :nonono:
