wondering how you set up the solar to charge the house and chassis? mine only charges the house.


btw, I have the same bluetti setup you do. keep it in the house till we need it for boondocking. was thinking of cutting a hole in the rear side compartment for the power cord; and a way to lock the hole when not in use.

Your solar should charge the chassis battery the same way the converter does when you are on SP. If that isn't happening you either have an IRD (one direction charging between house and chassis batteries) or you have a malfunction. Typically Axis and Vegas MHs have bi-directional charging either through a BIM or a BIRD.

As 16ACE27 mentioned your solar should charge both.

My motor home has a IRD, so I added a Trik-L-Start device. It will trickle charge the chassis battery from solar or shore power. By the way the owner of the company that made the Amp-L-Start/Trik-L-Start devices has passed and they are no longer available. But alternatives are available from other manufacturers.

Also the bluetti battery setup is eligible for the 30% federal tax credit.
