Adding a picture to your signature

How exactly do I add a picture to my signature?
I've been successful at uploading an avatar but can't seem to figure out how to do it for my signature.
I thought I could do it where I edit my profile but when I paste the link to the picture I want all I see is the link, not the image.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

We posted a picture to our signature and also saw just the link on the preview but when I confirmed it, the picture showed up on the signature posting. It was just trial and error on our part.

Thanks d-man31... You got me headed in the right direction!
I needed to use the
there's a link to the BBcodes on the profile page just to the left of the signature section

I had to resize the original image to a thumbnail for it to work.

Hey Steve just out of curiosity on your redwood for the maroon and black paint is there white or cream color under the black and red. I saw a black and tan paint scheme today and fell in love with it but I ordered the maroon and black.

Ours is a cream, gold, maroon and black..
They are all BASF paints and they will provide you with the paint codes and touch up bottles.
I'm thinking about getting some matching color accents painted on my truck.

As long as you have a valid picture URL, such as mine:
<a href="http://cowco.net/images/RedwoodRVForumSig.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://cowco.net/images/RedwoodRVForumSig.jpg
</a>then you put

Picture should be relatively small particularily in height. I think mine is 107 pixels x 273 pixels.
Remember also that the URL is case sensitive. So, in my case:
http://cowco.net/images/redwooodrvforumsig.jpg
does not work!

I used the line of code above just to see if the picture of your rig would show up when I posted my reply. It did. I then edited this post so I could uncheck the "enable BBcodes" below. That way the text would show instead of the pic.
Make sure to copy and paste the entire line of code at the top of this post and when you edit your user profile, paste it in the signature box.
You're only allowed 200 characters in your signature so paste the text above first then add more if you if you have room for it.
