Coach is winterized, parked in storage. Both Master switches off (one at batteries, one inside door) AGS keeps coming on and running for days. Control panel says it’s off ?
What’s going on ?

What Year/Make/Model coach would that be?

Which AGS?

When you say "AGS keeps coming on and running for days." do you mean the generator starts and runs for days?

Generator starting is NOT controlled by any master power switch - it has its own 100 amp DC breaker.

Did you check our Resources area?

Insufficient information.
Tuscany XTE 38 ft AGS STANDS FOR Automatic Generator Start, coach is parked for the winter, all electric off, and the generator starts and will run for days on it own and requires that you shut it down manually. Refill diesel tank, and a week later it’s running again. I’m out of town for the winter and it’s never happened before ??

Find that 100 amp DC breaker and trip it for the short term. Usually near the house batteries. That will stop it from starting.
"Never happened before" may be because the battery voltage may not have got low enough before. How old are the house batteries?
And with the battery disconnect OPEN, the batteries will not charge from the generator and that is why it never shuts off.

DKOldman is an AGS deep diver, maybe he'll stop by and give you some ideas about that end of it.

You really need to provide more insight on type of AGS you have, make, model pictures etc.

More importantly are you able to access the settings for the AGS? Based on what you have described, the AGS may be programmed incorrectly and thus starting based on some predefined conditioned being met, and it does not have a properly defined shut off condition.

With that said, 1st step and easiest step is to disable or turn off the AGS. If it is not in AGS mode it will not start if the issue is with AGS. Need your manual or model number to know how to do this.

My AGS ( Onan EC-30) will not do what describe. It has safety lockouts; so after so many days the AGS will not start unless you manually put the AGS back into the AGS mode. Think storage, my unit can be set to lockout for the safety of others that might be in an enclosed storage area. I don't use or see this feature because I use my RV year around.

Assuming your AGS is in fact configured correctly, you might have an issue with your wiring harness, and if so it may not be related to the AGS at all. A short or loose wire can cause what you have described.

FWIW, the 1st thing I do when going into my RV is to put the AGS in Auto mode if no SP, and for all trips. My point is no chance for me to forget because the AGS turns itself off automatically whenever the ignition is turned off and it goes into manual mode. If anything I may forget to put it back in AGS enable mode when returning to RV.

I take it your problem is resolved? Any update on outcome.

I’m in Florida for the winter, the coach is in Georgia and stored. The GENERATOR starts on its own and ran for days. The control panel says the AGS IS OFF. I had my son disconnect the positive post of the battery bank after it starting itself 4 times and going thru $350.00 of diesel.
