Almost dry batteries

I have had the 2025 Geneva from Thor for about 30 days, and the batteries toke almost a 1/2 gallon of water, so much for customer service. I should not be surprised Blue Compass drove it for 2000 miles with the headlights not working, a bad relay at a cost of $630 that Thor put in the vehicle. Other issues as well, it's a lemon!

Did you use distilled water or battery acid and was there any dates on the battery

My guess batteries too far gone, best at this point replace with LifeP04, no liquids to maintain and could get10 years life, they can be drained below 50% and not hurt their life.

Exposed plates in a flooded lead-acid battery is nearly always fatal for the battery. After refilling with distilled water and carefully charging to what appears to be fully charged, I wouldn't rely on it to maintain charge or have anywhere close to rated capacity.

Get new LFP batteries, charge them, install them and forget about them ( after you get past the need to constantly check the voltage using the BT app).

Unless you’ve got a LOT more wrong than you list it’s not “a lemon”. EVERY RV has new bugs. It’ll probably have a few more and even then it is a very maintenance intensive machine. Did the dealer tell you you need to check (and repair as necessary) the sealant on the roof and sidewalls every 3 - 6 months? They rarely do. I check mine and nearly always have to address one or two spots. Batteries almost always are neglected and units often sit for extended time periods prior to selling. I’ve had to replace house batteries almost immediately after purchase on more than one occasion. Thor probably will reimburse you. I like flooded batteries and if you keep them I’d recommend a Flow Rite filler. It makes checking and filling the batteries literally a 5 minute job. Hope you find happiness with your coach.

About the post above;
Why would anyone ever like flooded batteries if given an alternative?
Let me know...I sway easily.

Agm has been available since 1980 and common since about 1990.
Liquid batteries have been a compromise due to cost ever since.

I for one was not as informed as I thought I was 2 months ago I thought they were out of my price range not even just the big picture but immediate cost, now I see they were the same price.
