An any thing topic

Bud & Lois</span>

Congratulations. You went the fast route. Seldom do they have all your equipment at the shows. But when you think about it where else but there. Enjoy your new vacation home!</span>

We purchased a 36FL and our delivery was late Feb, upon inspecting the unit we found some cosmetic paint issues, cabinetry issues and the counter top had minor scratches. When inspecting your paint job look around all of the doors, below the window at the rear, corners of all slide outs for fit and finish, above all slide outs near seam where roof attaches. Our dishwasher was not installed but our dealer took care of that immediately. Our dealer installed our winegard slimline satillitte dish and ensured we were wired for 4 tv's to operate at the same time on different channels (I had them install a drop in the storage compartment). When you operate your surround sound and want it to work when watching TV make sure you are connected via "optical", if you get a sound feedback, turn the volume down on the tv. I also installed the wireless USB adaptor and I carry a "hot spot" so I had connectivity. I installed a cable that attaches to my laptop and I have a remote keyboard so my 40" TV is now my laptop monitor and I can work email from the lounge chair in the living room. We installed an under counter coffee maker left side of the sink and 2 towel holders on the shower wall (epoxy glue) facing the sink. If you want some pictures of what we did send me your email via private message to this forum and I will send you some pics. Best with your new coach. BTW our shower leaked, caulking fixed it and they "reversed" the bottom seal on the door, no more leaks.

Ha Ha. Seems like you either know why you want the chrome tip, or you don't need it. Probably why it doesn't come from the factory...

It's a well known fact the adding chrome to any mechanical device improves it.
I expect to gain about 500 watts of added power and 2 extra hours of run time just by adding a chrome tip to my generator exhaust... your results may vary..

You ought to be a politician....I believe you

Dave's dryer should dry so fast that his wife can't keep up be cause he has a chrome dryer vent.

Dave, yours is in same locationas mine, butyours is at a good height.
How close is it to the lower part of the RL side panel (ie. how much space above it?) while you are measuring.

Ok..... I was wrong....I had said in the past that I thought my exhaust pipe for the generator was about 12 inches off the ground. Well 12 inches isn't what it used to be......as you can see from the picture it's only 9.5 off the ground.

Dave I see you are using pads to level off of. I am going to use them as well but was wondering if positioning them is a hit or miss thing with the jacks coming down at an angle?

I use big round pads that way there is no guessing and it helps spread the weight out on the ground.

Not to mention hitting "auto-level"... then running around with your pads to position them before the jacksall hit the ground. I'll bet you have to be in-shape for that!

I just started using them as a test. My thoughts are that the further the jacks are extended the more wobble I'd have. It's only a test so far. No I haven't had too much trouble positioning them so far.

I made my own with the pressure treated plywood and 2x4's. One foot square. Used pink rope on them so I don't leave them behind. Work great in soft areas. They really spread out the weight. I spray them with ant killer to keep the ants out of the basement.

Darn those pesky basement ants!

Anyone buy a extended protection plan? if so. who did you go with, why and how much.
Thanks Lillyputz

I have not because of the 2+5 warranty but when the 2 year comes to an end I will go with Good Sam they have been very easy to work with for many years in my business.

Whatever plan they offer it's usually around 2900 just say no and pretty soon someone else will come and offer the same plan 1000 lower then you have to decide...the plan does not take over til the original warranty is out but it starts the day you purchase it ...ask for a brochure and read it carefully

Thanks for the info.the dealer soldN. Compass RV for 2,450.00. but still gathering info.

Speaking of warranties, has everyone noticed the post-it on the Convenience Center door with the requirement to have the unit inspected every year by an authorized Redwood Service Center to keep the 5 year structural warranty in affect????

I asked the Service Manager at Explore USA in Ft Worth. He said he had not heard about the requirement for a yearly inspection but would check on it for me.
