We went to Alaska 4 years ago and stayed in the RV for a month in Alaska alone. It is really a trip of a lifetime if anyone is planning on going. We never made reservations just went and never had a problem. We both loved it.

The DW and I are planning to be in Alaska next summer. This years is eastern US... next year is western with a month in Alaska... fingers crossed.
Bryan, I may be picking your brain when we get close to our Alaska launch.

It would be great if we could a get a Redwood caravan heading up the Al-Can.

Now there you go..........that would be a great trip with several Redwoods.

We have been looking at Alaska Discovery RV Tours at the following link... < rvalaskatours.com > . A fellow camper last fall highly recommended them for caravaning to Alaska. They start in BC.

Unfortunately, we can't schedule our trip until 2013 or maybe 2014.

I'll have to look into rvalaskatours.com. As of now we have tentative plans to be in Anchorage in June/July of 2013. If we don't make it then, we will in 2014.

I have never used one of those tour outfits before we just point the truck in the direction we want and go for it, in most cases its a blast we don't have a schedule to keep and we get there when we get there

I, also would not care to have to keep to a schedule. although I know some that have gone with the outfitters and had a great time and would do it again.

We don't even have a destination in most cases when we travel we just go until time runs out.

The summer of 2014 would work out just fine for me, we all meet up at point X travel to point Y we could do what ever we want then meet back up at point Y have some time together and then travel back down to point X we could all have a blast

New to the forum. Just thought I'd introduce myself, I don't own a Redwood, but would certainly like to.
Perhaps I win the lotto and get one sooner than planned. Anyway, I hope its okay if I kindof keep up with the going on's with the Redwood family. Thanks, Ru
