Crossroads forum became so negative with so much Spam. We appreciate the opportunity to move over here and share ideas and plans with like minded travelers. Eric and Deanna.:)

Eric and Deanna
Like I stated on another post, It's good to hear from you again.
Plus welcome aboard on the Thor forum!!
How did you folks fair out with all the flooding in your locale?

We were in good shape. One of the daughters was cut off for a few days with roads and bridges out all around her. Its going to be a long time getting it all together again. We have been patching up the railroad and finally opened all routes this past Wednesday for some traffic, However that will be a long recovery as well. We went to Estes Park this week and its very sobering to see the damage water can inflict. However the resiliency of the people affected and the way everyone has drawn together to help cleanup, pump water, tear out drywall, shovel mud and combat mold in a complete strangers house is humbling. Kind of restores your faith in the human race.

Eric it is strange how things are on a rotation...Years ago in Ouray the sky Rocket would run, and at times fill the pool with all kinds of big rocks and dirt. It would take several days to clean it out and reopen.. Over the last 10 years I have watch developers build house, and Condo's in it's path. Yest they dug the bed out But you and I both know that when the water rushes down (Flash Flood) from the high country it goes where it wants to. It is a shame, but is a matter of time before these homes are taken out:nonono:
